Mission Statement

The mission of Oak Elementary School, a uniquely supportive and nurturing K-5 community, is to teach students to excel academically and socially by applying critical thinking processes, facilitating parent-community involvement, and utilizing emerging technology in a clean and safe environment where all students feel important and become productive citizens of our community.

School Vision

Students being promoted to the middle school will have the necessary tools for a successful middle school career. Our students will be educationally, technologically, and culturally literate.

Principal’s Message

The staff at Oak Street School continues to work hard to provide our students with a well-instructed quality program. We strive to improve the academic achievement and test scores of our students while providing them with a culturally enriched, nurturing, safe, learning environment.

The mission of Oak Street School, a K-5 multi-lingual, multicultural, traditional school, is to ensure that our students become compassionate and productive members of the global community, achieve academic success, develop a desire for continued learning and excel to their highest potential through an enriched, diverse and challenging curriculum, excellence in teaching, in a nurturing, safe environment with parental and community involvement.

We encourage our parents and community to participate in a variety of school activities and welcome suggestions of how we can improve our school. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Oak Street Elementary School. I have found respectful students, supportive parents, and knowledgeable teachers.
